Shelby & Kyle's Dreamy Southern California Wedding

Shelby and Kyle got married in October 2025 at THE most gorgeous venue in Southern California. While the venue already provided such a beautiful backdrop, that paired with the modern clean look of their wedding made for the most beautiful Southern California Wedding.

The Venue

Shelby and Kyle got married at Jeune Perche in Fallbrook, CA. The venue sits atop a hill overlooking scenic valleys. The ceremony site is carved into the hillside just below the reception site and is a modern white fixture that truly makes for some breathtaking photos. The reception site is at slightly higher elevation and has outdoor wooden beams with chandeliers overhead and draping that billows ever so slightly in the wind. Next to the outdoor ceremony area is an estate which features a fun indoor bar (which the couple was able to sneak away to for some fun flash photos), getting ready rooms, and a grand entryway/staircase. Not a lot of decor is needed here!

The Details

Some of the fun extra details that Shelby and Kyle incorporated into their day:

  • A fun surprise first look with the Best Man

  • Phone guestbook from After The Tone

  • Cocktail napkins with a sketch of their dog, Willow

  • A polaroid photo guestbook

  • Custom koozies

  • Disposable cameras on every guest table to catch the candids of the day

  • An outfit change for Shelby into a reception dress and sneakers

  • Custom table numbers and seating chart

  • Champagne wall for champagne upon guest arrival to the ceremony

  • A surprise mother- daughter dance with the Bride and her mother

  • Vintage heart cutting cake

  • One last dance for the couple, surrounded by their guests

Guest Experience

Shelby and Kyle offered plenty of things for guests to do during their wedding. From the polaroid photo guest book, disposable cameras placed throughout the reception, and phone guestbook to the welcome champagne and koozie favors, every detail was thoughtful and intentional. It was also important to Shelby & Kyle to get photos with all of their guests, so they opted to take photos with each table group as they were excused for dinner, which was a pizza buffet (so fun!). And for dessert, the couple had a whole table full of desserts (including a donut wall). Transportation was even provided after the reception to the afterparty.

Obstacles

The biggest obstacle that we faced at Shelby & Kyle's wedding day was the wind. Luckily, with the wedding being up in the hills we knew that we should prepare for wind. Before the wedding, I bought tablecloth weight clips, clear flat marbles, and super glue- all of which came in handy! The wind was so strong that we had to superglue the clear marbles onto the bottom of every placecard to weigh them down. And we used many of the tablecloth weights to keep all of the linens from blowing off the tables. These were not perfect fixes, but being prepared with these items certainly helped.

But even the wind couldn't stop this couple from having a dreamy wedding. What a beautiful day Shelby & Kyle's wedding was! I am still in awe of this day and the photos by Gaby that captured it so perfectly.
